You Know Yourself

I would like to talk about the state of the world at the moment.

I would like to start with asking some questions:
Why do we have a world that is full of racism, sexism, ageism, homophobia, prejudice and all other forms of ignorance? Why do we have a world that is full of war suffering famine and poverty?
What is it that creates perfectly intellectually capable beings acting in such a self destructive manner?
What creates the destructive patterns that we all seem to suffer from?

Now I would like to move on to putting forward some possible explanations as to why we carry out and therefore suffer from destructive patterns. This is not the one and only explanation, it is simply my explanation as inspired by many different sources.

We live in a leader/follower based society.
Leaders imply that we need leaders.
Leaders imply that they have the cure to societies problems.
Leaders then implement and administer this cure.
They do this by either supporting existing institutes and concepts or creating new institutes and concepts.
These institutes and concepts along with the implications put forward by the leaders then lead people to think and believe in the 3 critical mass thoughts, which are:
Not Enough
The Other
Fixed Finite
The 3 CMT’s then create the symptom of destructive patterns that we all suffer from.
The leaders then come along and claim that they have the cure to the symptoms. They imply that you need a leader to cure the symptoms.
Hence the cycle is complete and ready to start all over again.

Let me give you some examples of this:
The governmental leaders claim to have the cure to “Crime”. This cure is made manifest in the conceptual form of Laws and the physical form of Institutes such as the Police, the Prison system and the Justice System.
The leaders are implying:
There will always be crime
We (the leaders) can cure the crime
We (the leaders) have the one and only cure for crime
If you do it our way then the cure will be effective

This in turn leave’s the followers to think things like:
We are not enough to deal with crime ourselves
The leaders have to deal with crime for us
The cure for the crime is fixed and finite and therefore should not be messed with
We are not enough to resist crime
Therefore it’s a good thing that someone else has created some sort of deterrent
It’s good that the deterrent is fixed and finite and cannot be tampered with

There are other issues to do with the prison services and the justice system such as the idea that a punishment does not encourage people to change their behaviour, it just makes them more careful to not get caught. However, that is very well explained by other people so for now we will stick to I am talking about.
One thing I would like to address though is this idea of curing something rather than preventing it.
The idea of a cure to crime does not help to deal with crime happening, it only deals with what happens AFTER the crime has been committed. Therefore by pure definition, the systems put in place by the government to help deal with crime, are in-fact not dealing with crime at all. They are in-fact only dealing with manipulating people through fear of what might happen if you get caught committing crime.

This leads on to another example that I would like to give, which is the Health Services:
The government (as our leaders) claim to have the cure to all of the physical and mental aliments that exist in society. This cure is made manifest through the conceptual form of “medicine” and through the physical form of Institutes such as hospitals and doctors and nurses and other staff.
The leaders are making the implication that:
There will always be illness and a need for the health services.
We are the only ones who can supply the cure

Therefore the cure will be administered and applied in our way.

The health services might well have been created as a reaction to what was happening at the time i.e. lots of people getting ill. However we are now more evolved and we can critically look at the situation and ask the simple question of “what are the health services really doing for the health of the people living in this society?”
By being more evolved what I am referring is the idea that we can create a system that is not re-active but that is pro-active.

Essentially all of the leaders and all of the Institutes and Concepts created by or supported by the leaders make the following implications:

There will always be the thing that we are trying to cure
We are the only ones who can cure it
It has to be cured in our way

In summary what I am saying is:
The existence of the leaders and the institutes and concepts, all lead the followers to make certain implications about themselves. These implications are:

We are not enough to live without a leader
we are not enough to cure these things

We need some “other” i.e. a leader
The other has the cure for our problems

The situation will always be like this

Or to get even closer to the point the followers end up believing that:

“We are not enough”
“The other is the significant and important one”
“It will always be this way”

As I am sure you can see, when people believe these things then it is easy to see how people are dis-empowering themselves. It is easy to see how people have no respect for themselves.

The leaders don’t tell you to disrespect yourself; they just allow you to end up believing it yourself.
